Pulling to stand

We lowered Aaron's bed a week ago and guess what we need to lower it again! I walked out from the shower this morning and saw my little guy standing in his crib! It's simply amazing how he can do it by himself. It seems like everything is happening all at once.  Aaron started pulling himself up to his knees last week, then crawling, and then now standing within a week's time.  I am not sure if I should be happy or not when my baby is growing so fast.  Sooner or later I won't be the most important person to him and I will be so heartbroken. :(

Partied out

Aaron was invited to 3 parties on the same weekend. We went to Bella's (Milpitas), Sophie's (Gymboree), and Liam's (Sunnyvale) on Sat and Sun. I am not sure if Aaron had fun, but he sure was partied out. He took a 2.5 hours nap after coming home and wouldn't want to wake up to eat. After going to Sophie's birthday, daddy and mommy decided to hold Aaron's birthday party at the Los Altos Gymboree. The place is newly remodeled with big windows. The teachers are nice and friendly there. Hopefully it will be a good birthday party for Aaron. :D

Aaron's first birthday party planning

I have been planning for Aaron's first birthday since February and time flies by way too fast that his party is coming up.  We have originally booked Gymboree @Westgate as our initial plan of hosting it at Plant 51 failed through.  I've always wanted to find somewhere that offers natural light so that the pictures will come out better, that's why I hesitated to book Gymboree as the location is indoor and the lighting is pretty dark.

Luckily, we went to Sophie's birthday at Gymboree Los Altos and found that the location is perfect for Aaron's birthday.  The Los Altos Gymboree is newly renovated and has big windows.  I quickly had daddy book it for Aaron. Unfortunately, the time we wanted was booked and we had to book it a week before Aaron's birthday.

I am so relieved that I finally figured out the venue, but there are still tons to plan (cake, cupcakes, cookies, decoration, invites, etc.).

Snake dance

I am not sure where Aaron learned this snake dance, but he has been dancing whenever he sees me shake my head. It's so funny that he laughs too. We tried to take some videos but it's tough as he doesn't always do it when the camera is on. Hopefully we will get a good one.

Clapping hands

Aaron reaches another milestone and it's definitely worth documenting.  I have been teaching him how to clap his hands for quite some time.  His hands used to be closed and I kept trying to open them up for him so he could hear the sound his hands made. Aaron now claps his hands whenever he sees people clap, which is adorable. Love this new milestone and can't wait what he can do next.

Playdate at Jayden's

We were invited to Daphne and Jayden's place in Cupertino for a playdate. There were 7 babies including Aaron attended the playdate. Daphne, the host is so kind to provide us delicious Chinese food from Shanghai Dumplings. The play date is definitely fun and we took some really funny pictures of all the baby. I finally met Linh and Kaylee after talking to her on FB for 2-3 months. Playdates have become one of my favorite things to do within the mommy group. Hopefully we will be having more playdates in the future.

Play date with Hailey

We invited both Monica to come over for a mini play date.  I made some pork ribs and salad for the mommies.  Babies had broccoli and chicken for lunch.  Hailey is such a good eater, she would eat anything on her tray.  She doesn't even need a bib when eating solids.  I can't believe how messy Aaron is compared to Hailey! Play date is always fun for mommies, but babies don't seem to know how to socialize yet. Hopefully they will become good friends for life later.
